Power of Compound Interest

I read this little story a few days back. This story is quite interesting & at the same time it has many valuable lessons.

So the story goes like this:

In a kingdom, there was a person named BHAGAT.He was a talented singer. But he was financially poor. The king of the kingdom was lover of any kind of art.He used to generously reward talented people.

BHAGAT decided to show his singing talent to the king.He went to the court of king.He requested the king to permit him to show his singing talent. The king permitted & BHAGAT impressed the king with his talent.

The king asked him what he wanted as a reward.BHAGAT told king that he wanted grains of rice on the chess board. He told that place one grain in one column & double the quantity in every successive column.

The king felt that BHAGAT had asked for such a small reward that he asked his men to fulfil bhagat's reward. His men started. In the first column a grain of rice,2 grains in second & by the tenth column 512.

By the half of chess board, the quantity grew into lacs. The king understood the intelligence of BHAGAT.The king had to give all his kingdom to reward BHAGAT.

How To Debt free in 30 days

"Rich Dad,Poor Dad"is my first book on personal finance. The book is so much interesting that i couldn't stop completing it in just 7 days.I have learnt many things from the book.Impressed by the knowledge it shares,i am doing two things:

1) I am recommending this book to all my friends.

2) I am sharing the lessons with you all friends.

This book teaches how poor people or middle class people spend their money carelessly.Instead of putting money first into developing assests, middle class people with their bad spending habits, gets into debts.

For example, poor people or middle class people when they come across any luxury iteams, they purchase from their credit card.Even they know they can'nt afford it right now. They pay for this luxury from their salary. This brings them into financial instable position for some necessary payments.

Whereas rich people first put their money into assest building activity. In time this assest adds to their income(salary). This cycle continues till they have sufficient funds to afford the luxuary.

So, if for some of the reasons you have landed yourself into debts, then i have something to cheer you up.This program is called totally debt free lifestyle.

The program works for everybody. It breaks some of the biggest myths about bad credits. It will guide you step by step to get rid of your debts. AND you will live once again debt free lifestyle.

Funny Incident

I was in training for a pharma company, when this incident had happened. Now whenever i think about it, it brings back big smile on my face.I would like to share this funny incident with you.

I had a friend named shantanu(name changed)from orissa(india) in training. On the first day of our training, our training instructor introduced himself.Later he started asking few questions to our group. One friend in the group was from north India. So,the instructor asked him the question in Hindi(National language). My friend from north india answered it.

Next the instructor came to shantanu who was from orissa. The instructor asked him a question in Hindi.Shantanu couldn't reply as he didn't know hindi at that point of time. The instructor asked shantanu "did you know hindi"? Shantanu replied "no sir".The instructor thought to take the help of someone who knew oriya language.

None of us knew the language. He searched the staff & found a person who knew oriya. He called that person & started explaining him in English what to ask to shantanu. In the middle of this conversation,my friend shantanu spoke & replied the question posed by the instructor.

Everybody including the instructor looked towards shantanu in shock. The instructor asked him "why didn't you reply earlier when i had asked you did you know hindi?

Shantanu replied innocently to the instructor that you asked me whether i know Hindi or not.You did n't ask me whether i know English or not?

Suddenly all the group members started laughing. The instructor could n't believe this & started laughing. The instructor said we could have saved 15minutes if you had replied earlier or if i had used little common sense.

Prayer For Prosperity,Health And Wealth

A few days back one of my friend invited me to a spiritual prayer event on the weekand. On that particular day,I had visited near interior place for work. So,you can understand i was reluctant to go.

Somehow I made up my mind since i wanted to have some change for me & my family. We also wanted get refreshed for the coming week's work.

So we all went to the prayer.when we reached there,we saw some volunters were preparing diyas to be lighted for the prayers. My friend was one among the volunters. The prayer event was called as deep-utsava meaning lighting of diyas and welcoming GODDESS Mahalaxmi(GODDESS OF MONEY).

The significance of the deeputsava was to pray for all the mankind. Some 500 people prayed there not for only for themselves but also they prayed for prosperity, health & wealth for all generation to come.

SOMEWHERE i read that we are all interconnected at an invisible level. The moment we all lighted the diyas & started prayers,i felt expansion of my soul & started feeling connected to all.In that moment i felt that GODDESS Mahalaxmi is blessing each one of us.There is a kind of joy in giving & sharing with others.

We completely enjoyed the event and came back home refreshed.

Tour To Southern Karnantaka

Last week along with my family,i had a tour of beautiful places of southern karnataka. It was a three day tour where we planned to see some divine places.
we first visited Sirsi,a town famous for GODDESS Shri Marikamba.

Next we visited Idgunji,a place famous for Lord GANESHA.In India, before we begin any new work or project,we pray to Lord GANESHA for success.

From there we visited to Murdeshwar. It is famous for big idol of Lord SHIVA.It is also having big Gopuram(239 feet).we enjoyed the launch ride in the sea.

The next destination in our tour was Kollur to see Goddess MUKAMBIKA temple. After having prasadhem(food offered by temple),we left to udapi & stayed there at night

Next morning,we had darshana of Lord KRISHNA.You can see the temple above. We offered our prayer there & left to our destination:Suryagram.

Suryagram is very beautiful place & surrounded by hills. The place has ancient history. It is said whatever wish you have, you pray there SINCERELY and it will be fulfilled within a year. After your wish is fulfilled, you need to donote a clay made object of your wish.

From there we reached to Dharamstala. It is famous for temple of Lord MANJUNATH swami. It is visited by lakhs of devotees from various parts of country. The arrangements made by the authorities(SDM) are excellent. From Dharamstala there is a temple of Lord Shri RAM.You can have a look at it below.

There is a place called kuke Subramania. It is 60 kms from Dharamstala. The temple is surrounded by hills. There is a river besides the temple. This place is full of natural beauty. You can see the temple above. There is a temple of Lord GANESHA on the way back to Dharamstala. It has big idol of Lord GANESHA.

WE stayed at Dharamstala for the night.Next day,we left to Hornadu. The trip from Dharamstala to Hornadu is simply can't be expressed in words. The route goes through hilly areas full of natural beauty.

We enjoyed the beautiful scenes at the Hornadu temple. The temple is famous for GODDESS ANNAPURNESHWARI.We offered our prayer there & had prasadhem.

From there we reached a place called Ballehonnur. Here the temple is centuries old.It is famous for Lord VEERBADRESWARA.There is a faith attached to the temple here.Several centuries ago,a Rishi(Godman) craved a picture of Lord NANDI with aches in one of the pillars of temple.Since then, the Lord NANDI is growing in the pillar. It is said that when both the eyes of Lord NANDI appears, then the Rishi(Godman) will reincarnate.Already one eye has appeared. It is a strong faith here that if you sit next to Lord NANDI & pray, then all your wishes will be fulfilled.

We reached to a place called Sringeri. It is famous for Goddess SHARADA MATA's temple.Goddess SHARADA is the GOD of education. Here parents come with their young children. The Priest here make the childrens to write first letter of alphabet. It is a faith that children should start their education life from here.

The temple is situated at the bank of river Thunga. It also has got a beautiful garden.

We throughly enjoyed the tour of southern karnanatka.By visiting these beautiful places,I again reconnected with nature & GOD.It is wisely said"we are a part of nature & whenever we spend time with nature,we become more alive.I think once a year we should enjoy the company of nature.

Pregnancy experience-a blessing from GOD

Yesterday i along with my wife & daughter went to the birthday party of my friend's daughter. It was baby's first birthday. The occasion took me back into the past.It refreshed all those beautiful moments of pregnancy period.

I feel it was just yesterday when i was waiting for my first baby to born.It was 13th Jan 2007.My wife was experiencing frequent vomiting for some days.

Both of us went to see the doctor in the evening. After the checkup doctor conveyed me the news that i was eagerly expecting.

It was the happiest moments of my life..oh sorry our life.We were very happy & had a long discussion about various aspects of pregnancy period. Here i am writing my side of experience that is from a father's point of view.

Doctor told us the expected date of delivery to be 4 0r 5 sept 2007.I still remember,i was thinking how to wait for 9 months.Somehow,i wanted my baby immediately.I was dreaming about the first time when i would hold my baby in my hands. What kind of emotions i would go through when i saw my baby first time.I was going through so many feelings. In India, fathers are supposed to be strong & devoid of emotions. But i was simply alive.

One day i was watching discovery channel. The program was on pregnancy. The doctor expressed the opinion that you could build a strong relation with your unborn baby if you saw her during scanning. You can build strond bonding by talking to her. With your daily talks, you can enjoy a lifetime bonding.

I started regular talks with her.Infact i purchased a book on good stories. The stories had good moral messages. After coming from work,i used to narrate one story daily.

In the 6th month,my wife told me she started feeling baby's kicks.I used to keep my hand on my wife's belly to enjoy those kicks.Sometimes while narrating story, i felt stronger kicks as if my baby understood the story.

I read some books on pregnancy care & followed them.

I purchased more fruits & asked my wife to eat during pregnancy period.Everyday,we used to go for walk & discuss a lot of things about our baby.Ofcourse at the end of the, i used to count how many more days to wait.

Finally on 3rd sept 2007,i was blessed with a daughter.I thanked GOD & my Loving wife. The first time i held her in my hands, tears started rolling down my cheeks.I felt a tremendous sense of responsibility.

We kept her name"riya" meaning a kind of flower. Now she is 1 year 9 months old.
